Transitions In Time
Imagine an image where a human figure is standing in a scenery that is doomed to disappear. One notices a certain decayed glory, a story that gets almost transparent on its own. Almost if the character is part of the location itself or of its history and finally disappears with it. In her project ‘Transitions in Time’, Sais tries to capture the ephemerality of the space and society. History is constantly in motion and not only the players but also the sceneries are subject to a strong historic evanescence. The only thing that this fast devouring progress leaves are impressions. Stamps of what once was. It are these impressions that Sais Cortebeeck tries to evoke.
